 SYNERGY is a research project developed in collaboration with:

• LILT (Italian League Against Cancer section of Macerata)
• UNICAM (University of Camerino)
• Aditech Srl

A coordinated dermatologicalstudy, aiming to design and develop an intelligent platform, multi-level and extensible, for the dissemination of melanomascreening.

The platform should provide:

• A tele screening service based on the remote capture of dermoscopy images in sites  not necessarily specialized in dermatology (LILT surgeries, pharmacies, clinics in outlying poor areas) disseminated in the province of Macerata
• A distributedknowledge base, shared, heterogeneous and multi-scale (able to relate dermoscopy images, histological, molecular and genetic data, case studies, historical diagnosis, updates, analysis, activities, etc.), webaccessible, able to learn automatically and to generate new knowledge
• Innovative tools for data mining (Analysis, querying, clustering) and data transformation (ETL) for the assessment, coordinated management and advanced analysis of the information contained in the knowledge base, both in support of health activities related to prevention protocols both investigations of advanced search
